I almost went off in another topic about this, thinking of Carmen Electra advertising for Carribean Cruise Line ! Eck !!
The one that really bugs me is Magic Johnson for Rent A Center....really Magic, Rent a Center ? Maybe this is just a regional commercial, but Rent A Center business practices are horrible, and this one drives me nuts.
What commercials get to you ??

Celebration (or Caribbean) Cruise Line also has Daisy Fuentes in a promo on their website. I guess Royal Caribbean didn't see that when they selected her as one of the 7 godmothers for the Oasis.
I'm tired of the stupid Haynes commercials with Charlie Sheen and Michael Jordan.
What bugs me most is these particular celebrities are chosen for the "demographic" they reach. They don't serve their demographic well with the product they "endorse."
William Shatner advertises for a local attorney, and he played a buffoon of an attorney on TV. Who are they trying to attract ?
Lucky for me my TV I have DVR and rarely watch anything live, otherwise my TV would have a big hole in it.

I think some people don't take Go Daddy serious because of the commercials. When in reality they have one of the best customer service departments out there. You actually get someone on the phone that is friendly, knowledgeable, and as a bonus you can understand them.
I hear Carl's Jr. and Hardee's are going to bring back "Sexy" commercials. Remember the Paris Hilton one they had to pull a few years ago.
I have several domains with Go Daddy and I agree - they are a great company with top service. I really think they would be doing themselves a favor with a different advertising slant.
I agree. I was hesitant to use them because of the commercials. After I gave them a try to register a domain I was sold on the service and have since moved a few of my domains over to them. You sure can't beat the price and the excellent service.
Speaking of Celebrity Commercials, I haven't seen a Tiger Woods' commercial for a few weeks now.
Anyone ever heard of "jumped the shark"? This is a term used to declare a TV series as getting tired and ready for cancellation. It is derived from the Happy Days episode when Fonzie jumped over a shark cage while on water skis and wearing his leather jacket.
I think you can tell when a celebrity has jumped the shark when you see which ads they are doing. The more tawdry the commercial the more obvious it is the "star" is desperate for money and face time.
Looks like we won't be seeing any commercials featuring Tiger Woods in the immediate future. Once again we see someone who had it all and blew it because of a lack of good judgment. He'll never again be looked at in the same light by me.
Oh! The Coors Light commercials with the the NFL coaches spliced in from their new conferences and games. I am SOOOO sick of them. They jumped the shark 3 years ago but are still being aired.
