What are your favorites?

Wine Alert!
VEO Grande, Cabernet Sauvignon of Chile. On a whim, I bought it. I'm no expert on wines but this one is a dud.

Aroma - armpit
Color - deep purple
Complexity - None
Balance - mildly acidic to pithy unpleasant bitterness.
Finish - bitter

I have had Chilean wines that are quite remarkable but this one may be better used for cleaning windows.

Here is a good wine evaluation sheet available at no charge: http://www.aromadictionary.com/tastingsheetred.pdf

On our recent Liberty Of The Seas cruise we were befriended by a charming young woman from Chile. She really helped to make that cruise special. She is a bartender at Bolero's and she loves to talk about Chilean wines. She gave me some recommendations. Now I need to find the list.

I love Riojas. Faustino is very good.
Also enjoy Chateaneuf-du-pape.
Hope they have Riojas on our cruise.

Bruce was being funny. Welches is a brand of grape juice.

Bruce says more in one or two words than a lot of people say in a paragraph and he is hilarious to boot!

Bruce is sort of the "Monty Python" of Canada;

we know he's funny--it's just sometimes we're not sure exactly why.
