Does anyone disagree that Dominoes, Pizza Hut and Papa John's don't know good pizza.
Another place I am fond of is Gerry's Pizza in Rockford, IL. Right off I-94 at highway 20. Been there four times and loved it.
The flour is the thing. Hard wheat flour which allows for a thin crust that is still sturdy enough to not fall apart. I can't stand a pizza that has a crust that is no more than biscuit dough.
Ken, when Papa John's opened near us they gave out coupons for FREE pizza; that's right, a whole pizza free. We used one coupon; and even though we had several more, we never went back--so Papa John couldn't even give it away.

There's a little pizza place in Sandwich, Mass., on Cape Cod, called "Sweet Tomatoes". It's incredible. The line goes out the door.
