I'll have to try both recipes, the tequilla sounds like a great addition to bar-b-que sauce! I kind of do a similar rub, Dwayne. I take mustard and coat that over the ribs, roast, whatever. Then take a mixture of brown sugar, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper, and a little bit of thyme and rub that into the mustard. Then let it sit in the refrigerator for 2-12 hours. I then grill or smoke the meat and only the last 20-30 minutes add store bought bar-b-que sauce.
That sounds wonderful Penny. They had the smokers on clearance at WallyWorld this past Oct., I should have grabbed one! I've never made it that way, and it sounds delicious.
I love smoked foods. I have an old big Weber down at the lake I use to make Jerk Chicken. I get "ribbed" (pun intended) from my parents because I never clean it other than the grill top. I tell them it is well seasoned, and I like it that way.
I've seen that place on Food Network. But it made me hungry for fat and grease tonight, so I am having chili dogs with onions and hot peppers (two of them - using all beef natural casing hot dogs), french fries, and chocolate ice cream for dessert. A pre-dinner serving of Pepcid will also be served (20 mg version).
As long as you don't do it every day what's the harm. I'd rather die a happy 75 year old who ate hot dogs, hamburgers, steaks, and chopped liver, than die as a sullen 80 year old vegetarian. But then I am a foodie.
That was incredible. I know I couldn't even get through a single, but yumm-o! Nothing better than a good greasy burger and fries, at least once in a while.
I'm with you, Dave, none of us will get out of here alive. Might as well enjoy while we can.
