A new category!

Nominate your idiot of the day. Just make sure it isn't a fellow forum member!

My nominee for today is the Canadian goob who refused to shut his car off at the border so U.S. Customs could search it. He insisted the officer say "please" first, and refused three orders from the CBP officer to turn the engine off. So the officer pepper sprayed him and took him into custody. And of course the Canadian guy sees nothing wrong with his conduct, but the officer was totally in the wrong.

This guy keeps up with that attitude and he might be in an upcoming Darwin Awards listing.

This is one of my nominations. McDonalds runs out of Chicken Nuggets and she calls 911 not once, but 3 times.

Saw a picture in the paper recently about the idiot that stuck a cat in a home made bong because the cat was acting like a cat ? I guess hissing, hair standing on end, and perhaps harrassing him? Then he admits that he did it more than once to calm the cat down and it worked...Claims the cat got high and vegged out...Now theres a idiot ! Perhaps it was the air the cat was breathing in for so long that made it act out in the first place?

Does naming one's self go against nominating a fellow forum member? I have had my share of moments in recent days.

Dave 03-04-2009 12:21 PM

We all have our moments, but to be nominated in this thread one must have 1) thought they were being rational at the time of the idiocy, and 2) must continue to believe they were acting within the normal boundaries of reasonability or otherwise show no regrets.

Then I feel compelled to nominate... (drum roll) Cassie Winiavski!!
Read on... but captain.. I really have to go!

She sounds like quite the firecracker. I guess those officers should have taken a queue from the CBP and pepper sprayed her. No bruised ribs or bites on the officers, just a screaming suspect trying to rub her eyes (I hope so, it makes it worse) writhing on the floor.

Potty trained? Old enough to have gone BEFORE she boarded? Rational, very rational.
