We just came back from our Western Carribbean cruise aboard the Norwegian Sea. We had our two older daughters ages 13 and 12 (4 months apart) and a 1-year old baby. Our older kids at first thought the whole cruise thing was boring. Our ship is an older ship and smaller in size in comparison to most cruise ships. But there is so much going on every minute of the day that we really did not have time to be bored. By our second night, they were going to the restaurants by themselves (making them feel all grown up) and watching the nightly broadway-style shows. There are also other variety shows/contests/games in the other lounges and they enjoyed them as well. We also had fun just watching other people play basketball or shuffle board. Both of them had a great time when we disembarked for our shore excursions. We didn't sign up with the cruise line but just ventured out on our own and found nice beaches to snorkel and swim in. They also liked the shopping part and buying souvenirs for their friends. Now that we're back, we asked them which is their favorite part of the cruise and they both say "the whole thing". We enjoyed being pampered by our Norwegian Sea crew that more than likely we will book our next cruise with the same ship again.
