Well no one replied to my other questions. I along with my husband and two girlfriends are going to alaska in september, first time cruise for all of us. we would love any information about the ship, people, tours anything any body can give us.

It's been more than three years since I've been on "Norwegisn Star" and many things have changed since then. I would suggest reading the MEGA Reviews of the ship by Tom Ogg and Nancy Norris.

You asked about suggestions on what to bring. On NCL, there is no strict dress code. If you would like to dress up, there will be a formal night in one of the restaurants. If you would rather prefer to not dress up, there will be lots of other possibilities. The reviews will likely answer quite a few of your questions.
