Compare NCL to RCL and CC for me

First two cruises I took were on NCL in 1979 and 1983. They were a 3 and 5 day cruise. Since then I primarily cruised on NCL and Carnival. The last two cruises were on Carnival and were family or group cruises we went along on. I've now been on 8 cruises and understand that each company, each ship, and each cruise has it's own personality.

I kind of lost touch with NCL over the years and am now looking at them again.

If someone who has sailed NCL and RCL or CCL recently could give me some comparisons I would appreciate it.

All the new ships are pretty much the same.

Pluses I'll give Carnival:
Much larger Buffet/Cafeteria area.
Slightly larger ships and cabins.
One pool can be enclosed.

Negatives I'll give Carnival:
Most alternative dinning options are a part of the Buffet/Cafeteria.
Traditional Dinning closed seating.
Must ordeal waiters dancing and making fools of themselves before desert is served.
Formal nights where you must dress formally to dine at the main restaurants.

Pluses I'll give NCL:
Freestyle Dining with open seating.
Resort Casual attire always appropriate.
Optional formal nights.

Negatives I'll give NCL:
Slightly smaller ships and cabins.
No enclosed pools.
Better no bring your own booze enforcement.

I will add this-NCL is terrific value!!!!i did
a 12 day on the Wind recently-and it was very good value-almost $200/day for everything!!!! For 2 people!!!
