I was a passionate RCI cruiser, and one trip on NCL's Dawn has me perminantly sold.
NCL is GREAT for any age group. Really, they do a bang up job catering to differing tastes. One piece of advice, the shorter the cruise, usually the younger the average pax age.

[b]How long since my last Cruise?
Cruisehappy: you speak of the over 40 crowd as if it's a group from which to stay away! I promise, age is not contagious; you won't catch constipation, old boring stories, or the need for bifocals or colonoscopies by hanging around us. You young whippersnapper, you...I oughtta whack you with my cane and spit my dentures at you!
Cruisehappy, I take it from your address that you are working embarkation for N. Majesty. Keep in mind that the ship's been here for only a month, and that you will see a changing demographic once schools let out in mid- to late June.
I have been on N. Majesty four times, most recently in August 2005 and August 2006. Trust me -- there was a lot going on after midnight. I've been there. I don't criticize your choice of cruise lines -- in fact, I enjoyed our Carnival cruise last year -- but please get the facts straight on what NCL offers onboard.
NCL Pearl to Alaska May 20-27th, 2007 had a mixed age group, and the ship is hip, modern, contemporay and would suit any age category.
At 20, I would highly recommend the NCL Pearl, and just relax, get loose and have a great time. On cruise ships, you can party or kick back and relax. Dance the night away or sleep.
