Hi..

We have just booked what will be my belated 40th birthday present..a NCL cruise....

Can't wait to go only 3 months to wait..

forgot to mention we are also taking my 2 teenage daughters with us so I hope there is plenty for them to see and do..

They are a bit dubious.

MeShell, a summer cruise to the Med sounds perfect. You'll have a great time. Jewel is a beautiful ship. And your daughters will have the time of their life, I can almost guarantee it! There should be lots of young people on your cruise, too, being the start of vacation season.

Myself and my daughters are American but we live in the UK with my UK husband....

My birthday is May the 26th..

I should say we are not cruising virgins as such. DH and I did a transatlantic from Southampton to Barbados back in Oct 2003 on Oceania. Which got us hooked on cruising. This is our first opportunity since then, and we can't wait!!!

What excursions do you plan on doing? Still trying to make our mind up.

there will be 8 of us. My parents, husband and 4 boys. We are all looking forward to it. The excursions seem expensive so we are planning on doing them on our own. We will be taking the trains.

We haven't made our minds up we tried to get the girls involved but they said what ever you want to do we will do..I am sure on the day they will gripe and moan!

Same with the boys. They will complain but deep down will enjoy and hopefully learn something. My parents will go along with anything so it is all up to me! It will be hard to make everyone happy.

We took the kids on the Sun a few years ago. We all had a great time.
