Just thought I'd pass on to everyone my sure fire way of making the days pass quickly in anticipation of your cruse...

BUY A HOUSE and best yet, close 2 DAYS before you leave!

Oh well, it's our dream home. We've been searching for it for almost a year.

September proves to be a very hectic month so 8 days on the Spirit sounds like just what we’ll need.

Just thought I'd share

Happy trails!

-Darryl & Paul

You sure like to load your plates up. A new house right before your cruise, wow, don't forget to leave your luggage out of the moving van. Best wishes on your dream home

Congrats!

We went on a quick trip up to BC last week and came home to a very sick cat. Spent the last six days back and forth to kitty ICU, running errands for the cruise in-between. My husband actually drove me to the mall and made me shop for the trip. Time is passing quickly!

That gives a new meaning to the term packing for a cruise. Remember, you can only take what fits in your stateroom!

I'll keep that in mind Jim!

Thanks all, we're excited!

Hey, what gives with the vacation countdown banners? Mine's dead and I see some others are down too but Jim's is working!

Bummer!

There is a post in the General Cruise Chat about fixing it.

We're doing it the smart way - - - we close 30 days before we sail..... Luckily for us, our current house is paid for, so there's no rush to sell, and we can wait until we return from our cruise to work on moving out and preparing this house for selling. Although, my husband did opine that maybe we should pack now - 2 months out - instead of waiting for 1 month out like he usually does.VBG

Hi All:

Susan, yeah, we're crazy but we just sort of happened upon this house and as I said, been looking for about a year. We weren't technically looking but Paul showed it to a client that didn't like the commute and he called me and said "come see it now!" You know how life does that to you.

We're too excited to realize how crazy the next month will be. This is our first house together!

Auburnsiren, thanks for the tip, I changed me signature, we'll see if it works with this post.
