Mi Mi:
In our opinion, some of the extra packages offerd by NCL tend to be a little pricey. You may want to consider the "romance package" that they offer. We have done that extra, as we have sailed NCL many times in the last 3 years. Three times on the Pearl in the last year alone. We have used a Florida TA for our past 4 cruises and even though we live in New Mexico and she is in Florida, her services and follow up has been impeccable. She is a cruise specialist with a major TA and the prices are highly competitive vs. direct booking, sometimes better and we have gotten extras like on board ship credits from her, coupon books for extra discounts. Send a PM to us and we can recommend a name. No obligations and she is easy to talk with. Has 800 #'s...You will love the Pearl.
We just got married ourselves, but NOT on board.
Be sure to check your state laws about getting married on a cruise ship. You may have to do it on the ship in port rather than in international waters. Also check to make sure the marriage in 100% legal if getting married in a foriegn port of call. You may have to get married in a US port to make the ceremony legal before sailing off to international waters.
We took the 15 day cruise on Princess and got married on land in Honolulu. It was very nice. Then back to the ship to enjoy some fine dining, photos...that day was a formal night, a few cocktails and a late show. It was terrific.
Have a great cruise, and congratulations.
