Thank you for your response. I understand them not liking it but I am not saying to bring a weeks worth of Champagne or so with me. This was allowed for special occasions only and 1 bottle was allowed. I know because I encountered it. Does anyone know if this is allowed on Norwegian.
I don't like it either Ron. I'm bringing 2 bottles of champagne that they do not have on their wine list. We are (two families) celebrating 2 birthdays. Mine being one of the "big" ones
My husband likes a martini before going up for dinner so I guess we'll be ordering a bar service.
It just seems like less of a hassle.
Champagne is treated the same as wine aboard NCL ships. Pay your $15 corkage fee per bottle and be happy. You'll be able to keep the champagne in your room and use it at any of the restaurants.
But, to keep from being charged a corkage fee twice for the same bottle, keep your receipt on you for proof.
I have cruised previousely with Celebrity, but have not been on a cruise for 7 years. In a week, I will set sail aboard the Dawn leaving out of New York City for Bermuda, then the Bahamas. Since I will be criusing with a group of 11 (8 adults) We are not alcoholics by any means, but anticipate a good time will be had by all. I have budgeted 600.00 for my bar bill. Does this seem sufficient?
Hi, jbolles,
welcome to the cruise chat. Have a good time here with us.
600 $ for eleeven people for seven days: about 8 $ for each a day. That will do, if you are very economical (parsimony?). The last cruise with my family (2 + 2) we had a bill about 200 Euro ( = about 250 $) .
Have a fine cruise
Uwe

Jbolles,
Is your budget $600 for you or $600 for ALL of you? If you mean all of you - I'm afraid you are going to come up short based on my personal experience.
