Does anyone out there know NCL's policy regarding tropical storm...do they normally re-route you, or cancell? I'm wondering about TS Hanna--she is nowhere near Bermuda now, but we sail out Saturday...before the end of our cruise (or time in Bermuda), we will probably feel the effects of it!

It's rare that NCL will cancel. A re-routing is far more likely, as they are doing with Norwegian Spirit this week (sending her to Bermuda instead of Bahamas).

We are keeping track of NCL itinerary changes in this thread.

We were in a similar situation on Norwegian Majesty in 2005. Tropical Storm Irene was in our path to Bermuda (she wavered between a T.S. and Category 1 hurricane). A few days prior to the cruise, I started looking at Canada/New England ports, thinking that this is where we might be re-routed. Turns out that we ended up going to Bermuda after all, and the ship rode through the waves like a champ. That first day out was a little rocky, but weather was superb afterward.

BTW, you are on Norwegian Majesty, correct?
Happy cruising!

Yes, we are on The Majesty (My countdown is wrong!

I would really hate to be re-routed! We are celebrating our 30th anniversary, and wanted to go back to Bermuda again since that is where we started our marriage (my husband was in the Navy, and we lived there for 3 1/5 yrs!). We get back there every chance we get, but since it holds since fond memories for us, we never tire of it!

I don't think Hannah will be an issue, but you never know. Thanks for responding! Hopefully we will still be able to make it to Bermuda (they could just hold us there for an extra day or two because of rough seas and it wouldn't hurt my feelings!)
