If there is a real problem with the room (foul odors, some piece of essential equipment (such as the toilet or shower) won't function, things like that) then see the purser's office immediately after you notice this in your cabin. If the ship is not completely sold out, they may change your cabin assignment; if it is sold out, however, you may be out of luck. If the reason for changing your room is simply for convenience or you'd like something better, expect to pay extra for an onboard upgrade - again, if there are any available. If you are not happy with the location of your cabin assignment at this point, you may want to get it changed now.
