deck 11 norwegian jewel

i was originally allocated cabin 11154 on norwegian jewel and when i check ed its location it was at the aft of the ship...not even on the sides so i was pleased as balcony seemed larger and also a panoramic view...however my details came through today and it was a type error it should have read 11544 which is same kind of cabin on same deck but in middle on left hand side...does anyone know if the overhang in the middle of ship stops the balconies on deck 11 in middle from getting sunshine.???

The decks above only stop direct sunlight at noon. Depending upon the ships course and relative position, you could have sun or shade all day, caused by the shadow from the ship itself, not from the balcony above.

For example, if you're on the port side of the ship, you'll have shade all day if the ship is sailing east, likewise you'll have sun all day if the ship is sailing west. Just the reverse holds true on the starboard side.

So, the answer to your question is maybe.
