Hey all first sailing on NCL coming up soon. I'm trying to figure out how NCL handles the towel situation? Carnival provides big beach towels in your cabin, but will charge you if don't have the same number of towels at the end of the cruise as the begining. We have gotten in the habit of bringing our own on the CCL cruises so that we don't have to worry about someone walking off with one of ours because it looks like all the others.
So, does NCL do the same thing? or are the towels just provided at poolside??? Any inof would be helpful.
Jim

Thanks for the reply- CCL used to have the towels only by the pool and they still have towels available by the pool, but now they also do the "dedicated" towel in the cabin thing. I don't want to worry about losing a towel or having someone take mine, so we normally bring our own and return the provided ones to the cabin steward at the begining of the cruise. If we lose the ones we bring we are out $7 (we buy cheap beach towels) if we lose CCL's they are $28 or maybe more now. Just didn't know if NCL did the same or not.
Thanks again.

Whereas you can pick up extra towels by the pools, please don't. Those towels are for the pools. All towels going ashore are supposed to be checked out, with an appropriate charge added to your account if you lose them ashore, or fail to sign them back in. The beach towels on many ships are a different color from the pool towels, although on some ships they are exactly the same. How anyone can tell the difference when the towels are the same color is beyond me.
The location to pick up and sign for beach towels is always published in that day's Freestyle Daily.
Of course, you can always sneak some pool towels ashore. But I recommend playing by the rules.
