whale watching in samana

we are booked on the dawn and we are going on the whale watching trip, has anyone else done this,and is it wort $100.00 per person

We are also booked on the Dawn. We are booked Feb 14th. As far as whale watching, I have been to Alaksa and Hawaii and found that Hawaii had more whales. We have cruised the caribbean many times and have yet to see a whale. We do see flying fish and dolphins. We have also been to Samana and found out that this time we will be doing an excursion because there was nothing to do when you walked around by yourself. So all I can say is good luck.
