Does anyone know what the charge is (if any...) on the video arcade machines on the NCL Majesty? We will be going on our first cruise next week and I'm afraid that my 13 yr. old will put us into debtor's prison if allowed free reign at the video arcade. If the machines charge, do they take coins? My husband is worried that the machines are the kind that you swipe your key card and my son will happily swipe away for hours at a time and we'll get the shock of our lives when we go to settle our account at the end of the cruise! Any information on the video archade would be appreciated. Thanks!
Not been on that particular ship, but most that I've been on do use the cruise card. You can put a limit on your children's card, however. Once they reach the limit, you can add more if you want to. Some of the ships I've been on do have bill changers for tokens, but all the ones I've seen use the cruise card as well. There are so many activities for children on board that they may be too busy to do too much damage. Best wishes for a wonderful cruise!
Hi firstfamilycruise. The last time we were on N. Majesty (summer 2006), the arcade took quarters. My husband, who is the one who endured the game room with our son, does not recall how much the games cost, but he does remember exchanging bills for quarters at the purser's desk.
