We are traveling with a large family group on the Dawn in Dec 2007 and have set aside rooms at the back of the boat on the 9th floor. I'm wondering if it will be noisy from the engines. ...It's a lot of $, so want to make it enjoyable. ????

You're on Deck 9, far away from the engine rooms, and far enough away from the smoke stacks that you shouldn't hear any noises. Also, since the Dawn has azipods, you should have far less vibrations than you would on a ship with convential propellers on a shaft.

Enjoy your cruise.
