We just returned tonight from the NCL Dream. This is what I found.
The staff on the Dream are outstanding! The ship does rock-n-roll from side to side so bring Dramamine if you are prone to motion sickness.
We liked the Freestyle Dining - lots of options with our teenage sons. The food is...ok. Not bad by any means, but not outstanding either (the Chocoholic Buffet is a must see).
The drinks are expensive!
Our Cancun day was cancelled. Beautiful day, but rough seas and could not tender. We were very disappointed.
Cozumel was great. We did a 2-reef tour with Eagle Ray Divers and they were great! Then did shopping (the cruise line definitely pushes certain places over and over again - that got old!). We did lunch at Carlos n Charlies which was a ball with the spring break kids there!
Roatan - we did an independent snorkel/sail trip which I would not recommend. Many people talked highly of the Island Tour.
Belize - we did the Cave Tubing. That was fun. The river is shallow in spots so you need to really "butts up!".
We really enjoyed the Juggler on the ship at night - he is a must see.
We had an inside cabin and it was not big deal. The outside ones are larger and it is nice to see what the weather is outside - but for the amount of time you are in the cabin I don't think it is worth spending the extra $ on one - use it on your bar bill (which will really climb),
