Hello all:
Looking to correspong with anyone taking the Norwegian Jewel cruise leaving Miami on April 23rd. Wondering if NCL allows passengers to purchase a "soda card" like so many other ships do. Can't wait to go. Have read several reviews about the beauty of the ship. Drop a line.

Yes, you can purchase a soda card.

It's expensive, and you only get sodas as a fountain drink from the bars, but you can also use it in the restaurants.

The going price is $1.25 for a glass, $1.75 for a 12 oz can. The card costs $5.75 per day.
You'll need to drink 5 glasses of soda per day, rather than buying them as you go, to get even.

But when you go to a restaurant for lunch or dinner can't you get anything you want to drink? Coffee, tea, soda are all included in the meal aren't they?

Hi all, khoward, I think you still have to pay for soda, but coffee & tea do come with the meals if I remember correctly.
My wife and I will be going on the 4/23 Jewel and we are really excited. We have been married 28 years this year and it is our first vacation without kids! Love the kids but hey...
Anyway, the ship looks beautiful and we are looking for some nice weather and beautiful beaches. We are from West Palm beach, anyone else from South Florida that is going??

Sodas aren't free on NCL ships.

At the restaurants, water, tea, milk, coffee and (juice in the mornings) are free. Sodas, beer, aalcoholic drinks you must pay for.

Also traveling on the Jewel April 23. We are two couples sans children from Boca Raton, ages 48-55. I hear wonderful things about this cruise experience from a very seasoned cruiser. Hope for good weather & smooth waters, the rest is up to you.

Hi, there! What about the kids? I´ve read there are some programs like the "unlimited beverage program" for $16.00. Is it really unlimited? Is it good for the restaurants too?. We´re a couple with two kids (7 and 8) sailing from Barcelona on June 25 to the West Med too! Anybody else?
