My husband and myself just booked a cruise on the Star to cruise the Mexican Riveria. My cabin is on the deck 4. Is there a deck below deck 4? Is deck 4 the deck for embarkation and disembarkation? Should I ask for an upgrade? I'm thinking of the noise level.

Thanks

Hi Sydney

There is still a few decks below you, however they are all crew cabins.
Deck 4 is also where the medical center is located. your cabin will be on port side.
embarkation and disembarkation can be used on deck 4 but that always depends on where you are (which port i mean). if you have a tendering port it will be from deck 4.

you should not worry about the noise level down there.

smooth sailing

We traveled on the Star to Alaska in June....

We had rooms on deck 4 and it was just fine....very quiet and convenient when the ship was docked because deck 4 was used to embark...very convenient....This was our 15th cruise so we've been all over different ships and were pleased with deck 4....
