Spirit. New Year at sea

Leaving NYC on Spirit on 28/12/05. Our 2nd full day at sea will fall on New years Eve. What to expect on New Years Eve regarding 'parties and celebration activities'. Will me and my wife be out of place if we dress formal that evening.

Probably not!

I'm not sure which nights on your cruise will be optional formal night, but I'd expect more than you will be dressed to kill on New Years Eve.

The beautiful thing about "Freestyle Cruising" is that you can choose to dress down, or not. I would make sure I had reservations in Le Bistro for New Year's Eve and then dress for the occasion. I would do what I wanted on New Year's eve and thoroughly enjoy myself.
