What about using the toilet and then having to open the door (grab the door handle) and walk over to the sink to wash your hands?
That's how bathrooms (in people's houses) in England are. I don't like having the sink in a separate room from the toilet. But it does free the sink up if someone's using the loo.
What if you are sharing with a friend and you don't want to know each other that well?
I would hope there is at least a curtain in front of the shower door to give both parties some privacy. Otherwise you could hang a towel over the shower door.
Overall, I think it's better to have toilet, sink, and shower in one room all together. Is there at least a changing/drying area in the shower area?
Sounds good to me....It looks as if I'm going in Jan, Feb and then in May to Alaska...do you think I might be cruised out......NAAAAAAA...I shall see what October brings....I may have to bail out the country of Dubai though....Happy Sailing....
Bring the whole gang because this one is perfect for the kids. At a maximum capacity of four, these staterooms come with two lower beds that convert to a queen, one upper bed and a sofa bed. There's also curved walls, a sitting area, luxury bath and shower or tub and your own private balcony, where the whole family can hang out and enjoy the view.

Max Capacity: 4

Don't worry about the shower, queen, we'll leave the room when you're ready. I don't remember the catagory of our balcony, but the cabin is on the 10th deck. My hubby does snore, but maybe we could kick him out on the balcony Pack your bags
Oh Penny, I wasn't worried about you, I was worried about you seeing me in the shower
The singing is bad enough but watching me soap the walls and wriggling around, we'd be like Lucy and Ethel and never stop laughing !!!!

We just returned from a Panama Canal cruise on the Star, we had a presentation from the cruise consultant about the Epic. I brought up the bathroom layout, we agreed it was a little odd but I guess time will tell. I did get the impression the ship could have two or three different “status“ levels depending on the cabin or packages you buy, where additional amenities are available, more so than now. In 2011 she may have to anchor and tendering will be necessary, this may prove tedious with 4000 some passengers. The briefing was informative; unfortunately the consultant was not able to say what services were included in the base price, apart from at least two restaurants. He did say the Blue Man Group was included, I am not sure about the Ice Room. The Blue Lagoon and a Red lion style pub will be combined.
Bryan, they must be doing this presentation on all of their ships. My co-worker just returned from the Spirit and told me about the presentation. I told him he needed to book the October 16th sailing and come with us. He was thinking about booking the Studio room. It's only 100 sq. ft., but would be perfect for a solo. Heck, I've been on ships where the cabin didn't seem to be 100 sq. ft. One was an inside on Royal, and one was on the Costa Daphne. I dare say those were 80 sq. ft.
