Our largest Travel Agency in Minnesota closed it doors and many cruises, air and transfers were never paid...My upcoming cruise was paid for plus the air, but not the transfers.....There was a young couple here that paid in CASH for a 7 day cruise on the NCL Jewel...it was going to be their honeymoon cruise....they just found out that NCL hadn't been paid...They were heartbroken losing the money and not getting their cruise...NCL came thru and is honoring their reservation ON THE HOUSE:-) or is that ON THE SHIP?...Nice going NCL...
No wonder I cruise with them so often....

Good for NCL. I'm glad I book with a Home Based Agent instead of a large Travel Agency. When I apply a payment they send me a confirmation from the cruise line that it was received and credited.

Wonderful marketing move by NCL Now everyone associated with the couple will know and believe you me, they will get a good number of people booking future cruises with them. Lesson to be learned. Never pay with cash for a cruise. Always book on credit card (at least my card covers me for SERVICES not rendered in the event that a travel agency folds). Of course, I always book only with the cruiseline directly and the airlines directly. No middlemen for me.

NCL does step up, we were on a not so nice cruise once and NCL step right up, offered cash back and future cruise credits and that was almost 6 years ago and that is why we are still cruising NCL. We leave on another NCL cruise in April. Way to go NCL.
