I am a first timer and to say that I am excited is an understatement. My wife and I will be taking our first cruise along with our best friends on the Dawn. Just reading all of the posts and looking to get any info that we can regarding the "do's" and ""dont's" regarding cruising. Just wondering what you think the top 3 things that you should do and the top 3 things that you should not do.

Let's see - DO: tip your waiters & cabin steward, at least as much as recommended; have the attitude that you are going to have a good time, even if every little thing isn't 100% perfect; get a massage
DON'T: complain a lot to other passengers if something isn't right (but DO politely take it to whoever is in charge, like the purser's office or the maitre d'); feel you need to eat all the courses offered - skip one each dinner; and DON'T miss the boat!!

I've been on the Dawn and I had a wonderful time. The only thing that stinks, are the photography prices!! but other than that, i cant wait to go on again. O wait, i'm going in september yey!
