There is very little rough water on Alaska cruises, depending on your itinerary. If you are doing a roundtrip Inside Passage from either Seattle or Vancouver, there will probably be only a few hours, most likely overnight one night, of even remotely rough seas (8 to 10 feet, maybe). If you are going northbound or southbound between Seattle/Vancouver and Seward, there will probably be one day that could be a bit rough. During those times is when you are exposed to the Pacific Ocean; otherwise, you're sheltered in the Inside Passage.
