How much do they charge for a bottle of water? Is it worth it to get the soda card and does it include bottled water?

Hi ron23, and welcome to cruise-chat;

The price varies by cruise line but is between $2.50 and $3.50 a bottle. The soda card is a good deal if you drink a lot of soda, but it does not include bottled water.

There has been a lot of debate on the subject, but many of us, myself included, believe the ship's tap water is actually cleaner and tastes better than the bottled water. Of course you may take your own bottled water with you onboard.

The ship's drinking water is very good. No need to buy the bottled water....unless you are taking it off the ship on an excursion....I don't buy the pop card...can't drink that much pop.....it's great for kids though....Have a Great Cruise...

Bottled water quality is not regulated. The ships, at least any that stop anywhere in the states, are regularly inspected, including their water systems. So I would never hesitate to drink the ship's water. Bring a small thermos or bottle to fill up and take with you on shore.

In fact, most bottled water in America comes from city tap water. The most the bottlers do is filter the tap water with the same type of filters used aboard cruise ships.

Many communities across America are banning bottle water because they cause environmental damage, specifically filling up landfills.

What I did is buy a couple of bottles of water on the ship and then I would fill them up in the gym. The water tasted good to me.
