Holiday Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

Has anyone taken the 11 day holiday cruise on the Dawn? We have never spent the holidays away from home, so I was wondering if there are any special Christmas or New Year activities on board. I have not booked this cruise yet, but because of dates and the NY location, it is a front runner.

The cruise ship will be decorated for the holiday season and they usually have a special Christmas dinner (Santa may make an appearance)-but most entertainment and other activities will be the same as a non-holiday sailing. There will certainly be New Year's Eve festivities to enjoy.

If you decide to take the cruise and have children, you might want to bring some easy to pack decorations for the door. I know someone who made a construction paper Christmas tree - attached it to the wall mirror and then placed small gifts for the kids underneath it. That's just one idea, but with a little creativity - your cabin can become your own little Christmas reteat.
