We went on our first family cruise last year on the Carnival Imagination. It was awesome for our
whole family. This year I have booked a trip to the bahamas on the Norwegian Sky (NCL). I am hoping my children will enjoy themselves here as much as they did on Carnival. Anyone have any family experience on the 2 cruise lines? If I have to I will cancel it and rebook our trip with Carnival again. Thanks

What was it your children enjoyed so much? Was it the programs of Camp Carnival? NCL has children's programs too. How old are they? Most likely they will enjoy the Sky too. No big slide on the Sky though.

Our kids liked the NCL kids program as much as the one on Carnival. So if that is what they enjoyed, you should be okay. If it was specific ship amenities, you need to spell those out for us to be able to give you a good answer.

They did really enjoy the kids programs, the dance classes, and the food. I am somewhat concerded about the food on the sky as well. All 3 kids ate shrimp cocktail each night and the fancy desserts and they are looking forward to that again. Will the dining rooms that come with the cruise feature evening meals that compare to other cruise lines. I know it is more casual and no set times, but would like to see the meal quality (without additional cost) be comparable.

Yes, The main dining room will have similar food as Carnival. The dinner menu will have Appetizers, soups, salads, main entrees with choice of a beef, poultry, vegatarian, fish; and desserts. There usually are some standard items that can be ordered every night.
