I will be cruising in Dec 2004 from NYC with my husband and 14 month old baby and I have a few questions.

1. Is it easy to find/book transportation from the airport to the port ( non-taxi , looking for a shuttle bus but not NCL's).

2. Embarking - I still have to book a flight back home. The ship arrives in NYC at 8am. I'm Canadian and I'm wondering if it is a longer process. I have a choice of a 12:10pm or 3pm flight. I prefer to fly earlier - do you think I will be able to make it?

3. Do midnight buffets still exist on NCL? (I remember that they were awesome a few years ago - I've been on RCL and Princess and they don't have them anymore).

thanks in advance!

1. I would just grab a taxi to the port, it would be tons less strssful. If not, why not take NCL's transfer?

2. I would take the later flight. While you could probably make the earlier one, why risk it?

3. They still do their signature chocoholic buffet on one evening, but that is about it. They will be serving appetizers in a couple of the bars and casino around midnight, however.

Thanks Tom.

I will not be bringing a car seat and I don't want to hold my baby in a taxi esp in NYC. A shuttle bus would be safer. NCL charges way too much. I know that there is a Super Shuttle service but I don't know if it would be a huge hassle.

It's been about 8 years since I've cruised with NCL. Is the embarking a problem for non-US citizens?
