Lotodgs, We just returned from the NCL Wind. I have the best suggestion in Kaui. There is a man who stands by the Marriott Hotel and offers you a 3.5 hr tour. Take it! He charges $50.00 per person. Best price around and you will see more. My husband and I were the only ones who took him up on it so he took his car instead of his van. He took us all over the island. To wet and dry caves, waterfalls, beaches and much more. He showed us where they filmed alot of the Chuck Norris Viet Nam movies, Jerassic Park, Bali High and many more. Told us there are only 3 elevators and 1 escalator on Kaui and that no building can be taller than a Coconut Tree and why. This is a very entertaining man. He is Hispanic and he's the only Hispanic tour guide on the island. He has lived there for 27 years. He was a flight attendant for Western Airlines and in 79 was in airplane crash in Mexico City that killed all but 4 people. He told us how he ended up on the island. There is nothing he does not know. I would do it again in a heartbeat. So many people missed out on a great day! You can visit his website and email him before you go and he will meet you. tresbros.com Mostly in Spanish but some in English. He caters to the Spanish tourists. And if you need to check emails or send some do as much off the ship as you can. On Maui we found a little place off the main street for 8 cents per minute. Spend over an hour on the internet for only about $5.00. On Kaui there is a place across from the Marriott for 2 cents per minute. Didn't look on Hilo. Never touched the internet on the ship at $4.00 to log on and 75 cents per minute. Look for our reviews later.
