I fully understand the difference between the 2, miltary and merchant, one is, one isn't.
My point about the alcohol policy was not is the drinking right or wrong that is clear, the point was the atitude of the so called officers and there abuse of position and rank.
Getting back to the orginial point is, that with all these points I have mentioned it is easy to see why a new crew memeber could have issues joining a vessel for the 1st time.
Special writing style or not the facts are clear.
The ego of many officers is an issue for the cruise industry, hense the high crew turn over and ever increasing HR expenses.
This is an issue that has been in several cruise lines, thru there HR offices
Continual dropping guest satsifaction levels are leading to dropping prices to attract customers to return.
This is a simple bulliten board not war in peace, I don't spend time sweating over a ofr instead or for, or missed word.
Your rely speaks volumes for the facts, and I see some other Cruise ship crew or ex crew seemed to agree with the me.
Instead of staying on the issue you choose a cheap shot at me instead of the issues, further proving my point.
If nothing else scandis are predictable.

Regarding the alcohol policy: I totally agree with you, and if you read my previous posts you would know that.
If you cannot understand the difference between a military and a ship's officer I suggest you choose the military because you obviously lack knowledge about a ship's officer's doings.
