NCL Jewel -cabins near laundry room noisy?

How noisy is the washer/dryer on the 9th deck? I read that the laundry room is located across from cabin 9088 on the Jewel. We are contemplating booking two rooms down from the laundry room, cabin 9583 or 9581. Could we still hear the washer/dryer two room down? Anybody used the laundry room on the Jewel? Can you tell me how loud is it? This will be our first cruise so we don't know what to expect. Thanks in advance for your advice.

minnymi-We have sailed on the Jewels sister ships the Dawn and the Gem-in both instances the laundry rooms were so quiet we had trouble finding them as there were no signs posted. Only different style doorknobs give away their location. I would not worry about the noise.

No problem with the laundry rooms...and you will love the Jewel....great class of ships...I sailed on her when she was 5 months old...and will do my second cruise on the Pearl now....Happy Cruising....

These ships are quite well insulated as far as noise goes, we used the laundry rooms on the Jewel on a few occasions and even inside there is not that much noise. I am sure you would never hear anything outside the door or in an adjacent cabin.
