I am planning a Hawaiian Cruise soon and I would like to know if when you board the Star do they give each person a flower lei? I would also like to know more information about Fanning Island? How long of a wait is there from the time you arrive at the port to check in and boarding the ship? How many hours flying time is it from San Diego to Honolulu?

Mary,
They give flower leis to the ladies and shell leis to the men. There is not possibly enough space here to describe Fanning Island - but it is a once in a lifetime experience. Don't miss it.
But if you are looking for McDonalds or Starbucks there you will be disappointed.
Use your search engine and type Fanning.

Boarding in Honolulu is the fastest I have ever seen; 20 minutes or less.
San Diego to Honolulu is lunch, a movie, and two drinks. About 5.5 hours.

Have a blast. I did.
