Sure, but from a passenger's point of view, this is still little notice. Many were probably at the port already, or at least on their way. And, as this is a holiday week, alternate plans are not easily made.
I still contend that this is little compensation to the affected pax. Celebrity gave a full refund PLUS a free cruise of equal value when the 12/10 Millennium cruise was cancelled, and that was done three weeks in advance.
