I've always been impressed by the shows on NCL, but the Norwegian Epic is going to take things to a higher level. I just attended a web conference where NCL announced "Howl At The Moon" and "Legends In Concert" will be featured on the new ship. These along with the previously announced Blue Man Group and Cirque Dreams & Dinner, and Second City comedy club.
In years past I actually thought NCL's entertainment was way below other cruise lines. Especially on the older ships NCL Sea and NCL Wind, even when I went on the NCL Spirit. They just didn't have the pizazz. They didn't have the back drops and stage props, they would have the same costumes for several songs. But as I watched the same webinar today I thought "You've come a long way baby!"
I still remember the wonderful performance of Grease on the Norwegian Sea back in 1999. It was really Broadway quality. The Will Rogers Follies on the Norway was also good.
With all the entertainment on board - the NCL Epic is quickly rising to become the "Bee's Knees" for cruising entertainment!! They will all be scrambling to catch up!! Perhaps they'll have to serve smaller and fewer meals to make up an entertainment budget shortfall!!

Yes, you'd better be.
I've always thought NCL had the best entertainment, or at least way up there. The sets might not have been spectacular (there's so much one can do on a ship with a nightclub rather than a true stage), yet the talent made up for it. I also remember, like Dave, a wonderful performance on Seaward in 1992. We even got programs, similar to what you'd get at a Broadway show.
In any case, I'm glad to see that NCL is still putting an emphasis on entertainment. It was one of their hallmarks, after all.
