transportation to Pride of Aloha from HNL

Hello all,
We are going on the Pride of Aloha Cruise in September for our honeymoon. We are flying into HNL the day of the cruise and need transportation to the port. I initially was thinking of saving some money and take a taxi or bus but now I am thinking of splurging a little on a private car. Any suggestions on company or if I should splurge?? Also am I able to sneak in a bottle of alcohol in my suitcase or is that a big no no??

Its a short drive, splurge & hire a car. check with a travel agent or the Chamber in HNL.
Its a Big NO NO to bring your own spirits on board. They are beyond watchful. Just plan on spending the extra. Give your steward 50% of your planned for them on the first day along with a list of your needs. It worked for us.
Go snorkeling in Kona, use lots of sun block. Book our own Luau. Pass up the Grotto. All other tours were wonderful. Take the Road to Hana on the first day in Maui.
