We are sailing on the norwegian jewel and i realize the added tip of 10 per person but would like to know what the average tip you would give for room service and also your room steward at the end of the week. Also when you go to the specialty restaurants do u leave a percentage of the bill. Thanks

I believe it's $3.50 per day for each person, for the cabin steward. The gratuity is included in the price of the meal in the specialty restaurants.

The $10 per passenger per day covers tips to your cabin steward and dining room attendants, so there is no need to tip more for the basics unless you want to. For room service, I've heard everything from $2 to $5 (the larger amounts for larger # people). We occasionally leave an extra tip in the specialty restaurants, but again it's not necessary as the gratuity is included in the surcharge, as Sonny noted. If we do decide to leave a little something extra in the specialty restaurant, we add it onto the payment slip...never in cash.
