Oceanview w/balcony question

I’m planning my first cruise, a cruise to Alaska, probably on the Sun.
Being a newbie at cruising, I was wondering what the differences were in the categories of the oceanview rooms w/balconies. Other than being on different decks and locations, they appear to be similar. Is there a difference in the categories? What makes a BA better than the BB, BC, BE???

Location.
The BAs are usually on higher decks.
Just about everything else is exactly the same.
