bedbugs on NCL

Thanks for the very vivid chat...is there ANYTHING we can do aside from what was mentioned to prevent this? yuck..we are traveling on the Spririt..what do the cruise ships to do remove them?

I find that if you rub gasoline all over your body there is no problem. We were just on the Dawn cabin 5002 right in lady liberty's armpit! No bedbugs or Statue BO.

Bedbugs ??? Don't get me started !!! We had a nice little encounter with those critters on the Majesty. I even visited the medical facility and saw the Doc about the nasty, itchy bites on my legs. He gave me a cream and sent me home. NCL had the Pest Control spray the beds. We wrote a complaint about it to NCL and they almost called us liars! There where no records at the doctors office !!!!! They offered a 132$ rebate on our next cruise, that was all !!!! We decided: never NCL again ! But after some concideration we booked a Transatlantic Cruise on the Dream in October 07. Hopefully we won't see bedbugs !!!

Hello Christiane and welcome to cruise chat. I would say the offer of $ 132.oo was somewhat of an admission of guilt on NCL's part.

Ya, bedbugs will be around as long as there are people and places for them to feed. Just check your room and bed when you first get into your cabin that way maybe you can avoid being bitten.
