This year we wanted to do something different. I found ncl deports out of sc by accident. We live and nc and were dreading the long trip to florida. However, I have a 11 and 16 year old boys. Would this be a good idea for them?
Also kind of curious how much anyone paid once the trip was over, such as the drinks, etc.
Just trying to get an idea.
NCL Majesty does leave out of Charleston during the winter months. She usually starts in November doing 7 night western caribbean cruises and finsihes up around mid April. I took my daughter December 04 and she had a great time. At that time she was 13, but she is a very outgoing person, so she makes frineds extremly easy. At that time there were only 16 teens on the ship.
Its hard to say how much you would end up with. We always purchase the soda card for our daughter when we sail, and we put a restriction on her sign and sail card. In other words she is not allowed to charge on her card. It she wants something from the gift shop we will go down with her and get it. Your spending would be dependent on how much alcohol you would be drinking and what you want to do on shore. We usually take around $350.00 in cash with us and the balance ride on credit cards. One year we went to the on board auctions and spent over $1000.00 another time we spent for the entire week only around $500 which also included gratuities.
