NCL offers a pretty good wine list at acceptable prices when compared with other lines. Figure a reasonable bottle of table wine is going to run anywhere from $22 to $35. I always buy by the bottle because their house chardonney is lousy and their serving are quite small.
You cannot buy wine in the liquor store on board and drink it while on the ship, nor can you either carry or check a bottle of wine onto the ship. It will be confiscated and returned on the morning of your departure.
Thanks for the info Two years ago we cruised on the Dawn Princess. We brought 6 bottles of our favourite wine with us and paid a $10 corking fee. Oh well we will just have to make do. We are on count down
You can still bring your own wine onboard. A couple of stipulations exist. Wine must not be on the NCL list. http://www.ncl.com/more/wine_list.htm
My advice is to contact NCL Guest services....they can be reached through the reservations number. Get them to fax you a note stating that it is ok to pay the $10 corkage fee. If you attempt this and fail and they confiscate the wine. Contact the Food and Beverage manager on board and ask him to please retrieve your wine ( kept in the bottom of ship) and that you wish to pay the corkage fee. Tips always help in this situation. He will go get it for you ...no doubt.
Thank you so much Stephen I checked out the wine website and ordered three bottles of great wine which will be waiting for us in our cabin. The prices were very reasonable too. Now we can sit on our balcony and sip wine. I will be toasting you soon.
