How does the quality of food on NCL compare to Carnival?? I have read posts on another site that say Carnival quality of food is much better than NCL. Is this true in your opinion? Viet

vietvet - For the most part I am an active NCL cruiser, yet my last two cruises have been on Carnival. In general the offerings are comparable between the two lines and, depending what you choose to dine on and the Head Chef you will be satsfied with either cruiseline! I Have my favorite food items on each line. I love the varied alternate dining options on NCL but Carnival is catching up with the options aboard the new CCL Dream! (Only the Steak House carrries an extra fee)

As you have already observed ...each cruiseline has its proponents and detractors....Cruise experiences are as different as the numbers of Earth's population> Relax and enjoy NCL....you are on a cruise!!!

Bon Voyage,

Thanks for your reply. I realize all cruise lines have thier plus's and minus's. And i sort of think that all the cruise line quality is about the same. We have not sailed with NCL before so that is why I am asking questions. Viet

Hi Viet...
We actually prefer the food with NCL more than Carnival.....and this is not a complaint about Carnival....we just have had amazing dinners on NCL--in the Premium restaurants of course, the main dining room, and in the upstairs buffet...
We were more than satisfied with our meals with Carnival, we just liked the quality and offerings more with NCL...
