Hi!
Both ships were not originally built for NCL ("Norwegian Sky" completed for them, however), and both feature rather small standard cabins. The "Majesty" was originally built for the short-cruise market and is generally less spacious. "Norwegian Sky" was originally planned as a sister ship of Costa's "CostaVictoria" and when NCL took over the unfinished hull, it was not possible any longer to make major structural changes. As a result of this, the ship's standard balcony cabins feature an oversized porthole next to the balcony door instead of floor-to-ceiling windows. "CostaOlympia" was not supposed to have any balconies at all.
Whether you like one ship or the other mainly depends on your expectations and preferences. "Norwegian Sky" is the more modern, more spacious and of course much larger ship (more amenities), while "Norwegian Majesty" is more intimate (less standing in lines etc.). I personally would prefer the "Sky", but that's my personal opinion only.
