I LOVE NEW YORK (sounds like an ad campaign!)

I haven't been up there in a year and I've got family there...no excuse! This is my favorite time of the year too.

The walk you described, that's my kind of walk!

Anyway, to get back on topic (somewhat) I didn't realize HAL was launching a new ship from NYC. Wow, that's great, but a little scary. Scary because the last time I was at the piers they still seriously needed some updating and renovation.

What's your view on this; I'd appreciate the opinion of a Noo Yookaw (how did you spell that again?)

Alas, it is 4:09 and I don't think I'll make it to the Dawn. I'll have to wait for a better planned trip

Darryl, I sailed from the Manhattan piers in May, and thought they looked pretty much the same as always. Maybe I was so excited to be going on a ship, I didn't notice the condition of the pier.

There are new facilities in Bayonne (NJ) and Brooklyn, but I haven't tried any NY pier other than Manhattan as of yet. Since I like to take the train to NY, as we discussed, the Manhattan piers are most convenient for me.

That's the opinion of this "formah Noo Yawkah."

If you do park at the Pier, the monthly rate is less than you would pay daily: $180 monthly, $24 per day ($60 savings).
