Credit for passenger not going

I am going to Mexico with my four kids, I booked a cabin for myself and two daughters, my second daughter going on the third passenger rate. Three weeks before the cruise she tells me she will not be able to go. I know they won't refund her fare, but wondered if there is any chance at all of maybe an onboard credit?

I would take a chance and ask for the refund. You did not book any extra space on the ship and you are still taking the cabin you reserved. I could see a cancellation fee but it is worth asking. If nothing else, let your other daughter take a friend and change the name on the 3rd passenger for a small fee.
