Hi all. My wife and I will be traveling next May on the Dream to the Scandinavian Capitals. Has anyone taken this cruise and can you give me any information about the ship. This will be our first cruise. Looking forward to it. Thanks.

Can't help with the ship, but we did the same cruise this year on the Celebrity Constellation. I'm pretty sure friends are doing your cruise next year. In Stockholm, you MUST do the Waterways of Stockholm. Bring plenty of film. That as well as the Folfloric Show in St. Petersburg, Russia, were by far the best tours of the 2 week trip. Avoid the Waterways of Copenhagen. The boats are set up entirely different, with a cloudy glass over the top. The water is too low, and the only thing you can see if you should happen to get a closed boat, is at an angle on your own side. Tivoli Garden is more of an amusement park, with very few gardens like we were expecting. If you're going to stop in Tallinn, Estonia, this IS YOUR SHOPPING port. Walking is difficult with cobblestones. I have an 18 page review you might want to download. Go into the review, click on to Celebrity, then Constellation. It's the one on August 17th. We are also going in May on the Dream and looking forward to it. Our dates are 5/10-5/22. London to London. This will be our second cruise.

We did the Baltic Capitals on the Dream in May of 2001, and enjoyed it was great. We flew into London, spend 3 days there, then took the train from London to Dover, wonderful experience. You will love going through the Kiel Canal. It is wonderful & pristine. Be sure you eat in the Italian restaurant, you will have a wonderful view as you travel through the canal. You will love Estonia. We want to go back; a wonderful medievel town.

Got off the Dream the day you embarked for your cruise. Would like to know if your itinerary was changed and did you get to St. Petersburg or not? The 4-28-03 cruise itinerary was changed and did not include St. Pete. We were told two hours before the ship sailed that the cruise would not include three ports, including St. Petersburg. NCL made the decision several days prior to sailing but failed to contact any passengers of the change.

If you didn't go there, could you please report on this BB how and when you and the other passengers were informed? It will be helpful for the expected class action law suit to be filed against NCL. Thanks for your info (hope you had a great cruise). BAS

I'm curious what other 2 ports were cancelled on your Dream cruise. I told a friend who is leaving for the same cruise on Monday, and the tour organizer got in touch with Norwegian, and was told there was "ice in the harbor". Funny that we didn't hear this from other cruise lines. Was there ice in all 3 harbors? Just didn't appear as correct info. Did you stop at other ports, and if so which ones?
