Mediterannean Cruise

We are interested in booking an NCL 12 night Mediterannean cruise in February and I would like to know if other cruisers feel it is worth splurging on a balcony room or not. I worry that it may be to cold outside to be able to enjoy the balcony. Thanks.

Average temperatures in the Mediterranean in February are around 58. It could be brisk on a balcony while the ship is at sea.

We did a Mediterranean cruise in Feb two years ago with a balcony cabin and found it too cool to use any time at sea and the only port that was warm enought for the balcony was Alexandria. But a great month for travel in that area, comfortable for walking around and no crowds. Russ

We looked at the Med Feb 14 cruise on the Jade and then again again at the Mar 7 (both hitting Alexandria) because we have yet to see the pyramids and we declined because of the weather. Weather ok for Egypt but we like to not have to wear a jacket as we tour and Feb and Mar weather is just too cool. Price was right however. We have opted for May instead. YOu would not get a lot of use out of your balcony. My opinion.

Thanks so much for the help. We ended up booking the March 7th cruise and went with an Oceanview cabin. We are thrilled, but now need to start educating ourselves on the ports and excursion options. I would love to hear insights about NCL verus non-NCL excursions.

We are on the march 7 cruise too. We already booked a tour to Cairo and Alexandria and one in Ephesus through a local company. Now we are trying to get to see the Alhambra when we are in Malaga. ( Are you doing the 21 day tour too?)
Interested? So far we have a small group of 6 people. We find the boat excursions too pricy.
